The Event

The Acton Lions Club will be holding the fourth Cycle For Sight on Sunday June 22, 2008.

The ride is open to cyclists of all ages and abilities with the choice of 50 or 100 mile routes that begin and end at the Concord Road and Gun Club in Concord, MA (click here for directions).

Invite your family and friends to spend a New England summer day enjoying a ride together through the scenic eastern Massachusetts countryside.

Prizes will be awarded to those individuals raising the most money for Eye Research!!

Registration

Pre-register by filling out the following forms..

Release and Waiver of Liability Form


Send a completed copy of the Registration form, the Release and Waiver of Liability form, and a check made out to the Acton Lions Club to:

Pre-registration is $50; all pre-registration forms MUST be received on or before Sunday June 3rd, 2008.  Additional donations and/or pledges to support Eye Research are encouraged but not mandatory. On-site registration the day for the ride is $75. It pays to register early!
 

   
The Routes

All routes will begin and end at the Concord Road and Gun Club in Concord, MA. 

Please sign-in the morning of the ride at the registration desk whether you are pre-registered or not.
 
The Day of the Ride

Registration and sign-in will begin at 6:30 am RAIN or SHINE.

The 100 mile ride will begin at 7:00 am; the 50 mile ride at 8:00 am. After the ride there will be a barbeque from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Non riders can attend the barbeque for a fee of $25.00.

There will be a mandatory 10 minute ride briefing immediately before each ride.

Ride Support

Rest stops along the route and at registration will have bathroom facilities, refreshments, and snacks.

There are numerous convenience stores and gas stations along the route, so some cash for lunch would be advisable.

One or more sag wagons will patrol the routes containing a floor pump, tools, some tubes, and minimal first aid.
